Two 7 Hour Gaming Sessions Of AD&D

2nd Edition (Spikehelm Campaign World)

The Back Story: (aka the idea that became the setup for this game)

Continuing from Episode 4.

This was another epic 14 hour game weekend, with 7 hours on both days.  I was running 3 of the same gamers from last week, and again the time just flew.  I'll try to do the game justice, so bear with me and hopefully I've remembered it all.

The team stayed in the warren of tunnels and rested for the day to let their wounds heal and catch a bit of sleep as they'd been up for almost 2 days.  Shadowhawk had the first watch and sadly fell asleep.

In the afternoon, the slave girl was gone and she had taken a horse and its gear.  Shadowhawk, fearing for the girl, left to go find her.  He knew that he was needed here, but for some reason he needed to go after the girl.

Two 12 Hour Gaming Sessions Of AD&D

2nd Edition (Spikehelm Campaign World)

The Back Story: (aka the idea that became the setup for this game)

Continuing from Episode 3.

This was the first of 3 epic weekends -- this weekend was a total of 24 hour of gaming, with 12 hours on both days.  I was running 4 gamers that just totally jived and worked so well together that the time just flew.  I'll try to do the game justice, so bear with me and hopefully I've remembered it all correctly.

Daniel and Vlas had returned with the shards of the orb.  The Exchangers were happy to get it back, but they had further bad news -- three towns, that contained their outposts, were burned to the ground and all the people within killed.  It was odd that the Orcs hadn't pillaged the town and taken slaves -- that was what the Orcs had always done in the past.  With the attack on the towns and this latest attack on the wagon, the Exchangers were worried that they had been found out and the Orcs were retaliating.  As the last town to be destroyed was under the protection of the Monastery, they also wanted to understand what had changed.

As the only adventurers that knew of the Exchangers and their Orbs, Daniel and Vlas were asked to help out and -- since the last time they were in desperate need of scouts to track -- the Loremaster convinced Maldis, a Scout, and Ansr'isar Shadowhawk, an Elven Ranger, to help out -- after also swearing a Blood Oath to secrecy on these matters.

York Knights 4

A 7 Hour Gaming Session of the Dresden Files RPG

The Back Story: (aka the idea that became the setup for this game)

Continuing from Episode 3 and adding 3 new players.

The Warden finished his investigation of Heinrick's involvement and cleared him of any wrong doing.

3 weeks after the warehouse, Aaron was finally okayed to go back to work and surprised to find out that he'd been promoted into Special Investigation and met his new partner -- Inspector John Mason.

Maysuyo landed in Hamilton over two years ago -- as a stowaway on a cargo freighter from Japan.  On trying to leave the ship, he was attacked by a Red Court -- he beat the crap out of it, but it just kept coming.  Just as it was about to eat him, a rain bullets tore it off him.  Constable Mason then walked up and calmly put another entire clip into its head -- smashing it to a pulp "Only way to make sure," he explained.  More gunfire erupted and John swore and ran off to help and Maysuyo took that cue to leave.  Now, in his new persona of "Tamori Ichiro," he worked at the Phoenix Dojo as head instructor -- a mere 4 blocks from 52 Division -- S.I's and Inspector Mason's offices.

John Smith was always a wall flower, but there was one thing he was good at, the family business -- Insurance.  Soul Life was built by his parents and a few close partners.  In his teens, his parents died, but there was enough money left to him to keep his home and finish school.  Now, he was an underwriting manager for the firm.  Recently he took up an offer that the HR department made with the Phoenix Dojo to improve his health by learning martial arts.  If that was all that John was, he would barely be worth noting -- just another human running on the wheel of life, but he had a minor talent that singled him out -- he could see the dead... and they could see him!
